About TRADECAIRN Technologies
Practical technology built around the work.
TRADECAIRN Technologies is a veteran-owned company developing focused digital products for electricians and the skilled trades—starting with apprentice training and expanding into field tools and future trade-focused workflows.
Real electrical experience behind the software
Founded by Zach Jerry — more than 20 years in the electrical trade.
TRADECAIRN Technologies was founded by Zach Jerry, whose electrical-industry experience began in 2006. His background includes work in the electrical trade, Master Electrician and electrical contractor licenses held across multiple states, and more than two decades of working with the practical demands of electrical projects and technical decision-making.
His additional training and credentials include OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety, NFPA 70-related electrical training, arc-flash safety training, and Schneider Electric Solar Installation Certification. The goal is to bring field-informed judgment to educational software—not to replace the actual Code, a testing authority or qualified supervision.
Licensing rules and credential status are jurisdiction-specific. Past or present professional licenses do not constitute product endorsement by licensing authorities, and TRADECAIRN is not a government or examination-body program.
How we approach electrical study and technical accuracy
Electrical work changes with code editions, testing outlines, local amendments and manufacturer instructions. Where relevant, TRADECAIRN aims to identify the applicable source, edition and verification limits rather than provide a universal answer to a question that depends on context.
- Original practice content: Study questions and explanations are created for learning, not represented as actual licensing-exam questions.
- Official-source separation: Exam bulletins, code adoption and licensing prerequisites should be checked directly with the responsible authority.
- Clear product boundaries: Training products are not a substitute for field experience, apprenticeship instruction, NEC access or qualification to perform electrical work.
- Corrections and feedback: Users can request a content review or improvement where information may need updating.

Why TRADECAIRN exists
Trade software often asks users to adapt to the software instead of helping them do the work in front of them. TRADECAIRN is being built in the opposite direction: start with the real task, reduce unnecessary entry, show what is known, and make uncertainty visible instead of hiding it.
Electrical Apprentice Pro comes first
Electrical Apprentice Pro is TRADECAIRN’s first commercial training product. It is designed around electrical fundamentals, NEC navigation, calculations, quizzes, flashcards, remediation, pacing, and exam readiness. It is private training and test preparation—not a replacement for apprenticeship school, required on-the-job hours, licensing eligibility, or an authority’s examination requirements.
Field tools are a separate job
Electrical Field Pro is being developed as a distinct technical toolkit for working electricians. Keeping training and field tools separate lets each product stay focused while sharing a recognizable TRADECAIRN design system and account experience.
How we handle technical information
Electrical work deserves traceable information. TRADECAIRN products are being designed to identify code edition, jurisdiction, manufacturer source, and verification status where those details matter. If verified information is unavailable, the product should say so rather than inventing a compliant answer.
Independent, practical, and still growing
TRADECAIRN is an independent software brand. Product pages distinguish what is available, what is preparing for launch, and what remains in development. The goal is to build a connected family of useful trade products without pretending unfinished work is ready for the field.
